SameShot is a free Android app that adds a ghost overlay to the camera viewfinder. The last photo appears faintly over the live view, letting you line up the new shot with the same framing before you capture it. The app works entirely offline – there is no account, no server, and no network calls. All face and pose detection runs on‑device, and an optional App Lock protects access with a fingerprint, face, or PIN. It is aimed at anyone who wants consistent visual tracking over time, such as gym progress, weight loss, daily selfies, skin or hair changes, pregnancy, plant growth, renovation projects, tattoo healing, and other personal timelines. Features include an auto‑capture mode that fires when alignment is achieved, a face mode that locks onto your face for selfies, a before‑and‑after slider, vertical 9:16 time‑lapse reels, project organization, reminders, and on‑device export of aligned photos or videos, all without uploading any data.
