FileShift is a free, open‑source web app that runs entirely in the browser. It lets users convert documents, generate QR codes, and create strong passwords without uploading any files. All processing happens locally, so files never leave the computer and no personal data is stored on external servers. The interface supports drag‑and‑drop and works with common formats such as Word, Excel, PDF, images and ZIP archives. Additional tools include simple text utilities (case conversion, hide/reveal) and a QR‑code reader. Because it is client‑side only, there is no tracking or data collection. The project is maintained by Adam Abdelsalam and is available as a free, open‑source project for anyone who needs private, on‑the‑fly file handling.
