What it is

Diff Anything is a private, local-first desktop app built for comparing the kinds of files developers actually deal with day to day: text, structured data, folders, archives, documents, API schemas, HTTP responses, images, binaries, and command-line workflows. Its pitch is straightforward, comparing anything, not just plain text, and its category, Developer Tools, matches that focus. It comes from Martin Grüner.

How the round went

This week's board had 34 products competing for attention, with 21 distinct clappers casting 2,902 claps in total. Diff Anything pulled in 620 of those claps to take the win, ahead of PackPilot's 546 and a third-place finish from a listing for a 24 by 48 inch polycarbonate sheet. No reviews came in for the product this round, and Martin didn't submit answers about the build process or what's next, so the numbers speak for themselves here: a developer tool that a working slice of the community decided was worth backing.

Fair and square

There's no growth-hacking story to tell and no funding round to point to, just claps from real people choosing where to put their support in a crowded week. That's the whole mechanism, and it held up again this time.
