by Dharshan KumarSAN-D is building universal memory: a single chip that acts as both RAM and storage. Today's computers keep fast volatile memory and slow persistent storage as two separate systems, and the constant movement of data between them costs speed, energy, and design complexity. SAN-D's thesis is simple — one chip where data runs live while the device is powered on and is immediately stored when power goes off. The project is pre-prototype: chip design is complete (foundry-ready 17 Oct 2026), and the build is being documented in public, day by day, on YouTube. Technical details stay private until provisional patents are filed. SAN-D is looking for its first believers — hardware mentors, design-stage collaborators, and deep-tech investors who back founders at day zero.
