Rowbird is a self‑hosted service that runs your SQL queries on a schedule and sends the results where your team already reads—email, Slack, Telegram, Discord, webhooks or S3—in formats such as tables, CSV, Excel or PDF. It is aimed at teams that need recurring reports or data alerts without a full BI platform, and at developers or operations staff who want a lightweight, open‑source solution that runs on their own server. Key features include support for PostgreSQL, MySQL, MariaDB, SQL Server and SQLite (with TLS and SSH tunnels), a visual cron builder with time‑zone handling, alert conditions, role‑based access, encrypted secrets, and an optional AI assistant that can suggest SQL queries. Reports can be defined in YAML and applied as code, and the tool has no built‑in telemetry. Installation is a single binary or Docker image that runs on Linux, macOS and Windows, with options for Docker Compose, Caddy, systemd or Kubernetes deployments.
